"We were able to determine that Justin (aka Nelson) Gaouette and Lucie Phaneuf were married  on October 10, 1848 in St-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Québec. Based on birth records, we estimate that they left St-Denis circa 1867-1867, which implies that Alphonse would have been born abroad."

They also said this:

"Birth records for five of their children were found. Would you have names of Alphonse's siblings?"

I have since replied , indicating Chester Gaouette is one sibling.
